Vidéographe X Maison d’Haïti : Creation of an audio-visual performance project
Vidéographe is looking for Afro-descendant writers and media artists to develop a project to create an audiovisual performance in collaboration with La Maison d’Haïti.
Vidéographe is looking for artists who are interested in working in a team of two or three to create and lead eight workshops exploring tools and techniques used in moving image, sound and text. These workshops will be held in the autumn of 2021.
The workshops are targeted at 15 to 25 year-olds and will take place at Maison d’Haïti. Over the course of each two-hour workshop, participants will develop an audio-visual performance combining sound, image and text, which might involve live manipulations to the image and sound, the use of loops and pre-recorded sequences, or the use of spoken word or poetry, for example. The artists and participants will determine which tools and techniques will be used. The performance will be presented in the Espace Koudjay at la Maison Haïti.
