WHERE DOES YOUR DONATION GO?

As part of our 50th anniversary, Vidéographe hopes to strengthen ties with its community, with a focus on three areas of activity in particular. Your donation will allow us to improve our member services, support the development of excellence in moving image practices, and continue to make a positive contribution to society.

Donate to develop artists’ careers
  • Vidéographe’s distribution activities extend throughout Canada and abroad;
  • We offer of professional development training opportunities for artists;
  • We offer access to cutting edge digitization services as well as workspace and equipment hire.

Donate to push the limits of moving image practices
  • Our Robert-Forget Award is a $5,000 grant awarded to a Quebec artist, curator or researcher who has made an exceptional contribution to the development of moving image practices in Quebec;
  • We run mentoring and creation support programmes
  • We promote diverse points of view through, for example, our residency programme for Deaf practitioners.

Donate to develop ideas
  • We foster interest in the arts among adolescents and young adults by facilitating access;
  • We hope to strengthen our collaborations with Montréal schools and community organizations such as Dans la rue, La Maison d’Haïti and the Centre jeunesse Le Beau Voyage;
  • The Vithèque online collection reflects societal issues to encourage discourse.
