WHERE DOES YOUR DONATION GO?
As part of our 50th anniversary, Vidéographe hopes to strengthen ties with its community, with a focus on three areas of activity in particular. Your donation will allow us to improve our member services, support the development of excellence in moving image practices, and continue to make a positive contribution to society.
Donate to develop artists’ careers
- Increase Vidéographe’s distribution activities in Canada and abroad at festivals, museums, artist-run centres and other institutions;
- Offer more continuing professional development training opportunities for artists;
- Improve access to cutting edge technical digitization services as well as workspace and equipment hire.
Donate to push the limits of moving image practices
- Establish and maintain the Robert-Forget Award, so that every two years a $5,000 grant is awarded to a Quebec artist, curator or researcher who has made an exceptional contribution to the development of moving image practices in Quebec;
- Ensure the continued running of our mentoring and creation support programs;
- Promote diverse points of view through, for example, our residency program for D/deaf practitioners.
Donate to develop ideas
- Foster interest in the video arts among adolescents and young adults by facilitating access;
- Strengthen our collaborations with Montréal schools and community organizations such as Dans la rue, La Maison d’Haïti and the Centre jeunesse Le Beau Voyage;
- Positively contribute to the community and to discourse around societal issues through the Vithèque collection.
ARTISTS TESTIMONIES

“Without Vidéographe, distribution of my work nationally and internationally would have been a huge burden, and I know far less successful.”
-Donigan Cumming, artist distributed since 2005
